Managing four or five medicines across morning, lunchtime and bedtime is genuinely difficult. The common problems aren't dramatic — a dose skipped because you couldn't remember whether you'd taken it, or taken twice for the same reason.
A monitored dosage tray, sometimes called a blister pack or dosette box, holds a week of medicines. Each dose sits in its own sealed compartment, labelled with the day and the time of day. If the compartment is empty, you took it. If it isn't, you didn't.
Not every medicine can go in a tray — some need to stay in their original packaging, and liquids, inhalers and anything taken only when needed are supplied separately. If your prescription changes mid-cycle we'll make up a new tray rather than ask you to pick tablets out.
